Construction of single storey front, side and rear extensions to include new garage; Front dormer extension and changes to fenestration.
4D Planning advised the client on the feasibility of extending the property. The client had a very specific brief how to achieve the extension and internal layouts. The design of the rear extension and infill side extension was a design challenge due to the angles and types of roofs. We produced the architectural drawings and some 3D visuals. We liaised with the planning officer and negotiated regarding the design features. Despite objections from the next door neighbour we were able to secure planning permission from Hertmsere Council for our client.
We prepared a second application to enlarge the front dormer to be identical to the neighbouring dormer. Although the neighbour's dormer was built without planning permission and did not set a precedent, we were still able to convince the council to grant us planning permission.
