4D Planning were instructed to extend the mid-terraced house in Hendon, Barnet by erecting a 6m depth single storey extension. We advised the client on the planning process and explained the types of applications and limitations that exist. We were instructed to prepare the architectural drawings and to apply to Barner for permission.
We obtained a lawful development certificate for the 3m rear extension with 4m height and reapplied for Prior Approval for a 6m depth extension taking into account concerns from one of the neighbours. We designed the sukka roof and part of the extension to be glazed to prevent loss of light to the neighbour.
