Erection of mansard roof extension to rear and formation of roof terrace.

4D Planning were instructed to help the client apply for planning permission for a mansard roof extension to convert the loft space. We also included a rear roof terrace at roof level in the application proposal. We produced the architecture drawings, planning/ design and access statement and other relevant documents such as a fire safety plan/ report and a daylight/ sunlight report to accompany the application.

We prepared and submitted the application to Wandsworth Council. The planning officer's wanted to retain the original chimney breast/ stack on the side of the property as well as reduce the footprint of the proposed roof terrace. We negotiated with the planning officer and advised of local precedent. We then agreed a revised scheme which was only a small reduction in size. The planning application was granted planning permission.
