Erection of mansard roof extension and installation of terrace and dormer window to rear elevation and installation of 2x rooflights to front elevation to extend existing flat at third floor level and associated works.

4D Planning were instructed to assist the client with preparing and submitting a planning application and to produce the architectural drawings for a mansard roof extension, installation of a roof terrace and dormer window and rooflights to a top floor flat. The proposed extension will enhance the value of the flat and provide much needed outdoor amenity and natural daylight to the new habitable space. We liaised with Camden Planning Officers and ensured that their concerns were addressed at the early stages of the application assessment. Following a few minor tweaks to the design (such as the retention of the original chimney), the planning application was granted planning permission.

4D Planning were instructed to produce the Building Regulations and Tender Pack and to coordinate the design with the Structural Engineer to ensure that everything works correctly on the design. We liaised with Building Control to ensure that the works were signed off so that the construction can commence.
